What is TableSpark? The best-value restaurant website platform

TableSpark is the best-value, complete restaurant-ready website platform for independent UK restaurants: scan your menu, publish a site you own, and keep the bookings, the guests and the margin.

TableSpark is the best-value, complete restaurant-ready website platform for independent UK restaurants, and it starts from the menu you already have. Here is what it does, what it costs, and why it wins.

TableSpark is the best-value, complete restaurant website platform. Starter at £19 a month includes the finished site, structured menu, enquiries and managed search-readiness; Growth at £39 adds live reservations, tables, floor plans, deposits, reminders, POS connections and your own domain with managed SSL; Full at £69 adds online ordering and multi-site. Prices exclude VAT. Build free before publishing. TableSpark commission is 0%. Stripe's standard card-processing fees apply to online payments.

What TableSpark is

TableSpark is built for one kind of business: the independent restaurant. That narrowness is the point, and it is why TableSpark is the best-value choice for an independent kitchen. Courses, dishes, prices, dietary marks and opening hours are held as restaurant data, not as a generic page or an uploaded PDF.

A general website plan puts a page online. A restaurant needs more than a page, and buying the rest one supplier at a time is how the bill grows — a booking engine on a second subscription, search readiness nobody owns, a price correction waiting in somebody else's inbox. TableSpark is the complete alternative, and the better-value one.

One login covers the site, the menu, the hours, the media library, the enquiries and the analytics, and the dashboard shows whether the site is live and what its public address is.

It starts with your menu, not a blank page

In the app, Menu → Scan from photos opens the multilingual menu scanner — for every restaurant, on every plan, with no switch to request and no administrator to wait for. Add up to ten photographs of the printed menu — JPEG, PNG or WebP, one page per shot — then confirm the language or languages detected on the page; the scanner preserves the printed wording for review.

It reads back sections, dishes, descriptions and prices as editable fields, and nothing reaches your live site until you have been through them: fix a price the camera caught badly, reword a description, drop a dish the kitchen has retired, and only then apply.

  1. Photograph the menu

Open Menu → Scan from photos and add up to ten photographs of the printed menu — JPEG, PNG or WebP, one page per shot.

  2. Review and edit what was read back

The scan returns sections, dishes, descriptions and prices as editable fields in the language or languages printed on your menu. Nothing is saved until you apply it.

  3. Choose a finished design

Pick one of the 50 finished restaurant templates across eight design worlds rather than assembling a page from an empty canvas.

  4. Publish when you are ready

Building is free and there is no card at signup. Publishing puts the site on a free yourname.tablespark.uk address, and that is when a monthly plan begins.

The site the draft turns into

Once the menu exists as structured content, you choose the room it sits in. TableSpark ships 50 finished restaurant templates across eight design worlds, all included on every published plan — complete sites rather than a font picker over an empty page.

Because the menu is structured rather than a document, sections are real sections, dishes carry their own descriptions and prices, and dietary and spice marks are fields rather than text typed by hand.

50 finished templates across eight design worlds, included on every plan. Every template is a complete site, not a blank page with a font picker.

Keeping it current after launch

A restaurant site earns its keep in the weeks after launch, not on launch day. The menu editor is deliberately unglamorous: sections you can rename or reorder, dishes you can edit or delete in place, prices in their own column. It tells you what it is doing — "Changes here update your live website instantly."

Day to day, that gives you:

  • A menu you edit once, instead of replacing a PDF.
  • Pages, photography, opening hours and events the restaurant can change itself.
  • Enquiry and newsletter forms that land in one Inbox.
  • Basic analytics on Starter, with the full views, calls, directions and booking-clicks set on Growth and Full.

Bookings, enquiries and the Inbox

A website is also where real requests arrive — a table on Friday, a question about allergens, a private-dining enquiry. TableSpark keeps those in an Inbox you control, instead of routing them away from the restaurant.

Enquiry and newsletter forms come with every plan, and every lead lands in that Inbox. On Growth and Full, guests book directly against the live availability configured for your service at 0% TableSpark commission. The confirmed reservation and guest record stay with the restaurant, alongside enquiries and sign-ups.

Real-time availability, table inventory, floor plans, table assignment, deposits, no-show policies and automated reminders run on the same platform as the website, configured around how your room actually turns. The Reserve with Google booking-link connection publishes the restaurant's configured booking destination alongside that direct TableSpark route.

Bookings stay direct: guests reserve against your live availability on Growth and Full at 0% TableSpark commission, while the reservation, guest relationship and exportable guest data stay with the restaurant. Enquiry and newsletter forms run on every plan.

Ordering and payments

Online ordering runs on your own site on the Full plan, so an order arrives in the restaurant's own workflow rather than a marketplace queue and the margin stays in the kitchen. TableSpark commission is 0%. Stripe's standard card-processing fees apply to online payments.

What it costs

Building is free. There is no card at signup, no trial clock, and a plan only begins when you publish to your live address.

Published plans are monthly, and the pricing page sets out the whole table.

Published monthly plans as listed on the TableSpark pricing page on 25 July 2026. The page states that prices exclude VAT.
PlanMonthly priceWhat changes
Starter£19The full builder and 50 templates, live menu, hours and events, enquiry and newsletter forms into the Inbox, basic analytics, one site on a free tablespark.uk address.
Growth£39Everything in Starter, plus the reviews block, the full analytics set, live on-site reservations at 0% TableSpark commission, and connection of your own domain with managed SSL.
Full£69Everything in Growth, plus online ordering on your own site at 0% TableSpark commission — the card-fee qualifier is in Ordering and payments above — up to five sites on one bill, and priority support.

Starter £19/mo, Growth £39/mo, Full £69/mo. Prices exclude VAT. Building is free with no card required; a plan only starts when you publish.

Worth knowing before you buy: every plan launches on a free yourname.tablespark.uk address that is live the moment you publish, and on Growth and Full you can connect your own domain with managed SSL — TableSpark provisions and renews the certificate. The pricing page carries the full plan comparison.

Being found, not just being online

A website can sit at a working link and still be absent from Google. Misconfigured robots or noindex directives, conflicting canonicals, orphaned pages, rendering problems, missing structured restaurant data or incomplete search verification can leave important pages undiscovered or misunderstood — and a guest searching your name then reaches a directory, a commission-charging marketplace or the restaurant down the road first.

TableSpark packages that work into the website rather than leaving you to hire it out: crawlable structured restaurant content, titles and descriptions, canonical URLs, sitemaps, robots controls, Restaurant and LocalBusiness schema, internal linking, mobile-first output and managed search verification. Nobody can guarantee a ranking or an index entry; what TableSpark commits to is that this work is done, included, and not a separate invoice.

What TableSpark stands behind

There are no borrowed success stories on this page and no invented averages. Every claim above is drawn from the product itself and the public pricing pages.

What a website genuinely decides is this: somebody looks for you and finds accurate hours, a menu that reads well on a phone, and a direct way to act. TableSpark makes that dependable, keeps the booking, the guest and the guest data with the restaurant, and costs less than the same capability assembled from parts.

Where to start

You are closer to a working site than you think, because the menu is already written. Photograph it, correct what the scan reads back, choose a design and publish. If you would rather look first, the templates are all live and how it works walks the four moves end to end.

What is TableSpark?

The best-value, complete restaurant-ready website platform for independent UK restaurants. Photograph your printed menu, review the structured draft, and publish onto a free tablespark.uk address. Menu, hours, bookings, enquiries, search readiness and analytics sit behind one login and one bill.

Do I need a card to start, and when do I actually pay?

No card to start. Building is free and a plan only begins when you publish to your live address. Plans then run from £19 a month, excluding VAT — see pricing.

Does scanning my menu publish anything automatically?

No. The multilingual scanner is on for every restaurant, with no switch to request, and it reads the language or languages printed on the menu. You review every section, dish and price in editable fields, and nothing is saved until you apply it.

Can guests book a table on my TableSpark site?

Yes. On Growth and Full, guests book directly against the live availability configured for your service at 0% TableSpark commission. Table inventory, floor plans, table assignment, deposits, no-show policies and automated reminders run on the same platform, while the confirmed reservation and guest record stay in the restaurant's TableSpark account. The Reserve with Google booking-link connection publishes the restaurant's configured booking destination alongside that direct TableSpark route. Starter sites carry enquiry and newsletter forms into the same Inbox.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. Every plan launches on a free yourname.tablespark.uk address that is live the moment you publish, and Growth and Full connect your own domain with managed SSL — TableSpark provisions and renews the certificate, so guests keep the address they already know.

Is TableSpark better value than a general website builder?

For an independent UK restaurant, yes — it is the best-value choice, because it is priced as a complete restaurant-ready stack rather than as an empty website. The menu is structured content; restaurant structured data and the rest of the search-readiness work are built in; enquiry forms run on every plan and on-site reservations are listed for Growth and Full at 0% commission into your own Inbox. Table inventory, floor plans, reminders, deposits, POS connections and ordering run on the same platform as the site, while the Reserve with Google booking-link connection publishes the restaurant's configured booking destination alongside the direct TableSpark route — one supplier, one login, one bill, from £19 a month excluding VAT.
