Google Will Show a “Join Waitlist” Button on Your Profile, but Only If Someone Sets It Up

Google's “Join waitlist” button appears on a restaurant profile only after a third-party provider has been registered. Until then the Friday overflow is simply lost.

Google's End-to-End Booking Button Won't Take a System That Can't See a Month Ahead

Google's Reservations End-to-End booking button is granted through the booking system behind a restaurant; a short-window calendar fails the bar and loses that one route.

The Google Booking Link That Never Tells You If It Worked

Google's own documentation rules out performance data for a self-added booking link, so the quickest route onto the profile is also the one where the numbers go missing.

A dated event loses the fourteen-day cancellation right, and “all sales final” still does not follow

Forty places are sold, one guest changes their mind, and the no-refunds line at checkout may not bind. The exposure is the term itself, and the price shown before it.

The booking only one person knows about

Bookings agreed in message threads can bind the restaurant, yet the only copy of what was promised walks out with the phone long before any dispute arrives.

When a guest cancels a booking without phoning the restaurant

Ring at 19:15 and the cancellation lands on a docket. The four-top is released at cash-up, long after the cover was lost, and nothing in the building counts it.

Which of your tables can she actually be seated at? The access record your floor plan does not have.

Most restaurants have one or two tables a wheelchair user can actually be seated at, and only the longest-serving member of staff knows which. Nothing records it, so the wrong table gets given away.

Is that booking refusal solely automated, and where is the human review?

A regular tries to book and the form says nothing is available. Nothing was wrong with the night: a no-show flag from last winter refused her, with no human involved.

Your bookings arrive on an analogue line that is being switched off by January 2027

On a Friday the line goes quiet, and the card terminal sharing the socket goes with it. BT retires the analogue network by January 2027, and attached equipment may fail.
